Our Story

During the COVID lockdown, I began my fitness journey as a teenager creating at-home workout videos using minimal equipment like backpacks and water bottles. These videos, filmed in a temporary hostel where my family stayed after facing homelessness, helped me build a small online following. Fitness became my lifeline, helping maintain my mental health and focus during an incredibly challenging time.
The first time I stepped foot in a gym was during my GCSEs when The Gym Group offered a free 6 week membership for 16-18 year olds. Following this six-week period I would spend half my pocket money to pay my friend to use his gym membership. Finances were my biggest barrier to staying active, but my determination kept me seeking opportunities to continue.
In my first year at Cambridge University, I discovered the Cambridge University Powerlifting Club (CUPLC). During my time at the club I accumulated a number of achievements both nationally and internationally - ranking 2nd in the country at British University Championships, ranking 2nd internationally for Team GB at World University Championships. I graduated as the strongest female lifter in Cambridge and Oxford Varsity history.

Fitness has been a cornerstone of my journey, teaching me two vital lessons: the power of a supportive community and the life-changing impact of sport.
The lessons I learned through sport extended far beyond the gym. Qualities like discipline, commitment, and teamwork provided me with the foundation to confidently navigate application processes, interviews, and the transition into the corporate world.
These invaluable skills have shaped my path, and I am passionate about ensuring that all athletes and sports enthusiasts should have the opportunity to leverage their experiences in sport to unlock their full potential both on and off the field.
